I greatly enjoyed it! and the main problem is only that I wish there were
more of it... :-)

The feel and texture of your writing, and of the setting, are excellent --
the story has an almost dream-like yet simultaneously raw and direct
quality that I've not often seen.

The 'slipped' chapter chronology gave just enough context to follow while
building tension.

Character development through vignettes worked very well.

I could almost see the climactic fight take place: direct and brutal.

Lee's description of how the "Wheel" works was *almost* enough to throw me
out of my suspension of disbelief... This is, I think, the only real weak
point of the story, and following Clarke's third law its details would have
been better left off-scene without an attempt at explanation.

(In hindsight, perhaps this was intended as a Matrix-like revelation?
but whereas in the latter that detail exposes the underpinnings of
the world entire, here though the existence of the mechanism is a
necessary fulcrum for the plot, its nature is not.)

Explicitly-written dialect is hard to pull off... it works here, somehow,
though I'm not yet sure why.

Thank you again for an excellent story! I do hope you're able to find a
publisher for this, and also that there'll be more to come. :-)

I like the book it is obvious however that the author plans on continuing the story in other books. The character development is good in the book but it does leave you wondering about some of the characters,I think that maybe there are too many characters brought into the story. I think it will be explained in future books,so I look forward to the next book in the series should there be one.
